Where to Prospect for Gold
Gold has been searched for all over the world; however the best chances of spotting gold are to look in places where gold has already been found before. It’s common for people to ask this question and it is a logical question. However, people should keep in mind that gold has been sought after for many, many years. The first Native Americans looked for gold because of its enduring quality and because of its soft malleability which was perfect for designing the beautiful jewelry for adornment they made. Everyone has been able to appreciate the treasures of gold the Mayan, Incas and Aztecs created that has been found by archaeologists. Keep in mind that the gold that was found by these ancient civilizations was found in the same places it can be found these days. The early Europeans did absolutely everything they could to find where the secret locations of gold were found by these ancient cultures. There are certain areas in the Southwest states of Arizona and New Mexico where old diggings were worked on for a good time by modern gold miners. The Spanish as is well known went after the Native Americans and then the Yankees went after the Spanish. During the 1930’s those very diggings were worked on again during the Great Depression by people that were unemployed because of the 1929 crash. These diggings continued being worked on all the way to the commencement of World War II. There were several things that changed the mining policies such as the government laws which caused it to slow down until the beginning of the 1950’s and once again the search started up heavy. |
