When Two Rocks Meet

Often times you will be able to see that rocks on the sides of a creek will pile and there are in some occasions deep spaces between them that allows sand to accumulate but does not allow it to escape. Usually this build up of sand only consists of sand, however, sometimes a little bit of gold can be found. In most cases these are deep and a lot interesting tools have been created to spoon out the sand so that it can then be panned.

Looking underneath rocks, logs and other natural objects
The times you will hear of something being located under rocks or other natural objects that have been flipped over in a stream is not that common. If you run into a deep crevice that has a little bit of gold in it, the chances you will find other rocks or items with gold are one in a thousand.

We have not mentioned all of the different types of stream pocket placers that exist as there are lots of different variations. Instead of going out and just looking for a rock or waterfall etc, it is suggested first become well informed on the ideas presented here. Once you are able to understand the way pocket placers come about, you will have a much easier time judging specific locations.
