Water Type Dredges

This constitutes the mechanized system of major performance for the process of auriferous gravel in great volume, mainly in riverbeds, lakes, etc.

The maintenance or investment costs previously justify the studies of evaluation, cubication and reserve volumes which determine the feasibility and use of this type of implements.

The installing of a water type dredge requires the use of metallic pontoons (floaters), the head is guided by rollers on a stretcher for canvas and moved by the superior drum, the inferior shaft is submerged.

Discharge the extracted material in a drain or discharge canal supplied of a mill-hopper, the thick larger material than ½” are eliminated through the fillers, the auriferous material can be treated by sluices or jig systems.

The buckets with water wheels are steel veneers (buckets); the cutting salient angles have interchangeable teeth.

They generally work against the currents, sweeping arches which center is constituted by the anchoring ground of the waters going in an upward direction which is held by a steel cable and lateral cables.
