Underwater Placer Deposits

As working a deposit under the water line constantly keeps your pool a safe distance from the water way to guarantee that the creek or river are never in danger of being muddied or flooded by your operation. Dry deposits which lay over the water table can most simply be mined by using caterpillar dozer to push the material to the concentrating gear.  Loaders can also be used but they will not be able to move as much material. It will possibly be useful to make the screen and sluice clean so that the distance the material is moved is kept to a lowest. This will also create more room to deposits tailings. If the gear is fixed the tailings must be continuously moved away from the area.

The last choice may depend on what equipment can be safe with money that is offered. No matter what equipment is used, still, a great deal of reasonable preparation must go in to the use of that equipment to make its is use as economical as possible.

The equipment required at the concentrating area include a grizzle to eliminate large rocks from the placer material, a screen to screen the material to the size which will be put over the sluice, and the sluice box or rag plant .The most cheap way to fix this equipment is to have a gravity feed among each piece of equipment .The material which goes along the grizzle drops by its own gravity on to the screen intake and the screened material drops on to the sluice box by its own gravity.

One trouble of having only gravity feed is that the unit may be too high to move easily. Conveyors are use to move the material where gravity feed is not used. These conveyors are also used to control the sum of material which is being fed to the screen and sluice. Conveyers and elevators may be required, but their use should be cautiously considered so they are not used unnecessarily.
