Transitory & Temporary Pockets
Transitory Pockets Transitory pocket placers are the ones that can be found between bedrock and the top of the bed load. The transitory pocket placers are usually the ones that are mainly found with the modern mining equipment that is available for everyone these days. Transitory pockets are normally anywhere from six to teen feet deep and are pockets that have been forming for the last few years. They are usually not over ten years of age however this differs depending on the pattern of the weather in the past. These are normally concentrated by a natural riffle such as a rock etc. They can often times be located in places where the bedrock is near the surface and pot holes or other depressions have been created. In a lot of cases, the transitory pocket placer is still inhabiting but then an accumulation of pay streak has occurred due to a natural riffle that places the gold together allowing it to settle in together.
Temporary Pockets Temporary pocket placers are the building up or accumulation that can be located on top of the current line but under the high water mark. They are not old in age and most of them form during the last flood stage of a stream. These can normally be found in a natural riffle, depression or crevice and in most cases they do not stay there for a long time, obviously this is different though in cases where teensy nuggets get tightly wedged in between the rocks. There are certain temporary pocket placers that are so delicate that they get washed away back into the stream by the next rain. These are not difficult to locate by exploring banks. However in most cases people just so happen to run into them. These placers cannot be trusted though because like we said they are temporary.
