Studies Looking Towards the Recuperation Of Fines & Ultrafines

Studies of corelation between the recuperated gold in the gravimetric circuit of the plant of Salamangone and the total gold contained in the deposit showed that, in a gross mode, this circuit recuperates the gold that the washing trough shows during the stage of investigation. For this bed specifically, it was verified that the “chemical tenor” is the same as “washing trough tenor” multiplied by 2 injcreased by 0.15. which shows that, in average, barely 46.5% of the gold contained in this deposit is passive to be recuperated by conventional gravimetry.

Looking towards the bettering of these levels of recuperation, the CMP asked the Paulo Abib engineering studies of flotation and followed flotation of cyanidation of the concentrate. The results of these studies were satisfactory, showing the technical viability of obtaining concentrates of flotation with tenors of the order of 100 g/t and recuperation of the order of 70% in the flotation and 90% in the cyanidation, starting with a feeding with tenors of 1.6 g/t.
