Semi Mechanized Method (tractor, dump truck, trommel, & canals)
The mining consists on retrieving of the mineral with a tractor that transports them to a platform where the carrying to the dump trucks is done with a front end loader, and from this it is taken to the concentrating plant. In harder areas perforation and blasting is done. Perforation with the usage of a perforator IR CM-350, with drills of 3 ½ inch in diameter and depth of 15 meters; the blasting is done with ANFO. In order to transport the material to the plant a tractor is used, and to carry and dump the material in the chute a retro excavator is utilized. The classifying section of bigger material in the concentrating plant is mobile and will move with the mining front. The material goes inside the chute with the help of a water splash at high pressure that comes from a monitor of 2 ½ inches. The relationship of the water and solids is the same as 6/1. The grate of the cute of 6 inches of opening is inclined so that the material of + 6 inches, after having been washed by the splash of water, accumulated in a field and is then evacuated with the help of a front end loader and a dump truck. The – 6 inch material goes inside the trommel where it is washed and disintegrated by splashes of water that come from set up water jets all along the trommel. The – ½ inch material passed through the holes of the trommel toward the chute to a classifier and is the pumped towards a cone where by overflow a great part of the clay is eliminated and the rest is placed in the jigs where again by overflow the unwanted material is eliminated towards the tailings canal. The fine material is then taken to an amalgamating table where the free gold is trapped in the form of amalgam which is taken periodically and taken to the laboratory to be heated. The + ½ inch material that comes out of the trommel is taken by a transporting strip towards a chute of 20 m3 in capacity and then transported with a train and wagon to the tailings site.
Mechanized method (dredge) The exploitation of placers with the usage of dredges is of optimum performance and a low cost operation. The dredge that is to be used will be a bucket dredge that consists of a floating installation that carries out the demolishing and extraction, hydraulic disintegration, concentration and evacuation of the auriferous material. The operations that is to be carried out will consist of: rational exploitation according to the magnitude of the area, rational usage of water, implementing re-treatment systems and recirculation systems, mining equipment and accessories for exploitation as well as evacuation and the arrangement of sterile, equipment of gold concentration, energy source for the operation and services.
