Safety Measures with Arsenic

Arsenic and a lot of arsenic compounds are extremely poisonous. The ingestion of arsenic can cause severe problems to the digestive system and can even cause death from shock. Arsenic and its compound hold back the enzyme lipothiamide pyrophosphate which is a very essential enzyme in the metabolism of the body of a human or animal. In the case of animals the toxicity can present itself as a very severe gastro enteritis and diarrhea. It can cause very serious hemorrhaging in the body as well. The symptoms of arsenic poisoning are the following: slight headaches that then start turning into light headedness if it is not treated, as well as intense stomach pain, vomiting and hallucinations. If arsenic is ever ingested it is suggested to immediately ingest five charcoal tablets as they work to soak up the arsenic and then pass it through the system naturally. Ingesting food that has sulphur such as onions and eggs will help to neutralize arsenic in a natural way as well. Currently there are a lot of chemicals and synthetic techniques that are utilized to treat poisoning accidents.

Remember: if you suspect arsenic poisoning get medical advice immediately and never treat suspected arsenic poisoning on your own.
