Recuperation of Gold & Silver of Old Second Washing of Metals of Amalgamation
This talk about a metallurgical study applied at old second washing of metals of amalgamation to select the adequate method with the intent of finding the recuperation of silver, gold and mercury contained.
The development of the experimental program considers the study of the physical-chemical characteristics of the second washing of metals and the application of methods of convenient metallurgical procedures.
To the experimental results obtained procedures of simulation have been applied to reach data which demonstrates the technical feasibility of the methodology and are useful as a base for the design of the flow sheet.
This work forms part of the studies which the General Direction of Metallurgy INGEMMET as a contribution to the development and promotion of the small and medium mining.
The present work forms part of the studies which the General Direction of metallurgy of the Geological mining and metallurgical Institute (INGEMMET) in fulfillment of one of its basic functions and is refferred to the advances reached in the technical evaluation of samples of old second washing of metals of amalgamation sent to our laboratories with the purpose of reaching the recuperation of the metallic values of gold and silver contained.
The evaluation of the experimental results show metallurgical that the methodology used is feasible and allows to establish relations for the selection of the system of convenient processing.
As a matter of fact one does not pretend to limit the studies of this methodology, but on the contrary that it constitutes in a contribution for future works given to the fact that a fixed method does not exist for the treatment of the second washing of metals, due to the fact that they vary according to their nature.
