Prospector’s Saw, Guns & Ammo and Clothing
Prospector’s saw There are many different types of saws that one can find in the market, but many of them are quite fragile and uncomfortable to work with. The saw you choose needs to be made for hard use and resistant enough to where they even handle cold temperatures and rough weather. There are narrow thin steel saws that are very light weight and that can be rolled up into a plate wide pack and safely placed inside of a canvas. There is also a two piece tubular steel handle on some that add up to a little bit more weight and is will not create a lot of bulk. Once this type of saw has been put together it can work as a very good tool. There are some prospectors that simply prefer to take the blade on its own, along with a couple butterfly bolts, and they then bend a heavy green sprout so they can use that as their handle.
Having guns and ammunition One of the best weapons that can be used for those living in areas that have big game is a light, scope sighted, precise big game repeating rifle. For people that live in certain areas and are going to be working in jungles for example they could consider something that is more practical such as a small game gun. As far as the cartridge is concerned it will be necessary to pick them out according to their anchoring efficiency. If a couple or more firearms are purchased by a group of people, it would be best they are all alike so that the parts can be replaced easily and can be used so that at least one of them continues working.
Having the right type of clothing Something that is very important to carry along in a prospecting trip is some additonal pieces of clothing and a vest in the vehicle. Remember that no matter where or what area you are working in the temperature can drop suddenly and get very cold. Also it is a lot easier to focus on the job you are doing when you are comfortable and wearing appropriate clothing. Remember to always have rain gear at hand as well as this is basic. It is possible to hunt for gold nuggets in the rain and even in between snow blotches. In fact, when the ground is wet it can increase the ability to hear very small nuggets that are deep down in the ground in almost any area. The exception to this though is in desert alkali washes. It is important when working in wet areas though to keep your detector dry in order to not ruin it and your prospecting trip.
