Progress and objectives that need to be accomplished in the development phases
Geochemical prospecting applies to the different phases of prospection, in other words:
- General exploration phase
- Strategic exploration phase
- Tactical or detailed phase of prospection
All mainly based on pointing out the secondary abnormalities. Besides that, geochemistry can still be used for recognizing and for the study of the indicators (study of the primary halos). “Regional exploration” consists on going through a region that is not well known of through itineraries in big nets and looks to pick up the first data of geographic character (such as the hydrographical net, setoff, ways of access), geological (nature of the formations) and pedagogical (types of alternations, nature of the grounds, presence and types of sediments in the rivers, etc.)
This first regional study is oriented towards putting into evidence the main geochemical units and allows selecting of the areas that need to be studied in a strategic prospection, as well as the methods that need to be applied in these areas.
