Precambrian Geology
The periods of the Archeozoic and Proterozoic are made up of one Era called the Precambrian. This is made up of the most ancient of all geological commotion and is considered to have happened somewhere from 600 million years back to least around two billion years. As science advances the age of the earth is considered older and there are scientists that even believe that the earth might be over five billion years old.
The Precambrian Era was manifested with the vast amount of events that changed the earth. A great amount of land was at times under water, while there were other areas that were fired due to volcanic activity causing the mountains to be lifted.
Even though there were a lot of problems in the forming scientific theories, it is obvious that a lot of the minerals and metallic ores were formed during this time. Rocks that existed during the Proterozoic Period have provided big deposits of gold, silver, iron, copper, nickel, as well as cobalt in regions in the United States and Canada.
