Plastic Gold Pans
Almost all plastic gold pans are made with the same type of configurations and they have the same designs as the metals ones. Some thing that makes a pan what it is, is that the placement or angle of the trap or riffle is placed at a ninety degree angle as this will allow you to work in a much easier way, especially in the case of a beginner. If the water is allowed to fall over and downward when the pan is being used, it will cause there to be inconsistency in the action of the water and it will clean the trap and will not be effective at trapping the gold. The dry washers also use a ninety-degree angle facing the upward side of the sluice box. The good thing about these is that all or a good amount of the heavier gravel and material will become trapped behind the sharp upward side of the riffle design. This design is also used in flotation or jig type of separation tables that are utilized for washing the concentrates. If you have ever seen how a sluice or dry washer works, you should have been able to notice that a good amount of the gold gets trapped in the front of the first riffle, as long as the downward slope has been adjusted in the right way. |
