Necessary mining permit requirements per year
Small Scale Mine Permits In the case of small scale mining permits, the operator is required to file a yearly report on the exact time of the permit (in other words the date when the permit was initially issued). In certain places department will mail the operator a yearly report form to the operator around two months previous to that date. The operator is then required to fill out the form and present it to the department and might also need to send in a small fee every year. The yearly report will need to have the subsequent information:
- Complete number of acres worked on and affected since the permit was first issued.
- Complete number of acres worked on and affected since the last year.
- The surface mining land that was disturbed such as mine pits, waste rock disposal areas etc, since the permit was issued.
- Surface mining land that was disturbed since the year.
- Complete number of acres reclaimed ever since the permit was issued.
- Acres reclaimed since the last year.
- Amount of tons of ore that have been mined since the last year.
- Ton amount of overburden and waste that was mined since the last year.
- A map that shows all reclamation that has been done and any alterations to the permitted operating and reclamation plan.
