Mineral with Carbonated Matters
Mineralization Characteristics The mineral of hydrothermal origin is strongly oxidated, which has transformed the pyrite in part, containing the original gold under the difuse form in oxides of iron, permeable to the cyanide solutions.
In an important part of the bed, a carbon exists of organic origin (up to 4%) sensitive of trap in the gold, the course of the operation of cyanization.
Content:7 g/TM.
Treatment Capacity: 450 TM/day for the carbonated mineral. 1,700 TM/day for the oxidated mineral.
Treatment Characteristics: (Carbonated area) The procedures of chemical oxidation has been preferred to the procedure by oxidant burning, before the stage of cyanidation over the carbonated zone; this oxidation is directed in two times: the pulp of the mineral (40 to 50% of solids) is above all submittedto a live aeriation in presence of carbonate of sodium towards 85°C, which assures the oxidation of the auriferous pyrite, after a second time, the most part of the carbonated matter is oxidated by the gasy chlorine towards 50°C during thirty hours.
The pulp is immediately submitted to a classic cyanization with recuperation of gold by precipitation over zinc.
The recuperation of gold of this type of mineral is elevated to almost the 84°C.
