Mineral Processing Equipment

Separation and Mineral Processing Equipment needs to be chosen based on the information that has been developed by the sampling and dredge selection process. This equipment needs to have been designed in order to be able to handle the complete range of material sizes delivered by the dredge. The equipment needs to be designed to permit the most important separation of the gold or the mineral bearing material from the stone, gravel, and clay balls if there are any. (Remember that if clay balls are there and there is a significant amount of gold nuggets, it might be required to mill all the clay balls so as to avoid carry over of the nuggets by the clay balls).

Main separation can be done by a trommel that has the right size in order to divide the gold bearing dimensions from the oversize and trash with oversize, and trash being delivered to the stackers or tailings delivery system. After the main separation has been done, the gold bearing material will then need to be passed over and onto the jigging equipment or further gravity separation equipment as is considered appropriate.

The material that is held back from the jigging system or the sluices is then collected and processed more depending on how much more is needed. Assuming all of the equipment works as intended and previously described you should be able to recover gold.
