The AC magnetic division is a fairly difficult piece of gear. It uses 3 phase ,220 volts in 3 magnets placed under a conveyor belt which carries the material to be divided .The turning field of the AC magnet sets up a magnetic field which origin the particles of iron to be in motion .the extremes of the magnets are located under the belt in such a way that the iron particles move from the middle of the conveyor belt outwards to both edges of the belt .Eddy recent are set up in each particle of iron ,which origin that particle to turn as it moves towards the edge of the belt .These turning particles really move in a series of tiny bound, or hops. Gold particles cannot be pull to the edge of the belt by these distortion iron particles for they are airborne most of the moment they are stirring.
The table concentrate, after being thoroughly dried, is fed onto the middle of the gradually touching conveyor belt of the magnetic divider. The overload iron the magnet cannot hold persist on the bolt .Outside the DC magnet are two more AC magnets .They are equal to the first AC magnet and travel much of the iron that has not already been stirred to the edges of the belt by the first AC magnet .A variety of the less magnetic iron happen to be more magnetic while passing below the DC magnet. This iron also goes to the edges of the belt while passing over the second and third AC magnets.
