Lixiviation in Shaken Container or Stationary Reactor
Lixiviation in Shaken Container Through this technique of lixiviation one can obtain very valuable information concerning to the properties of the mineral facing the bacterial process, among other parameters, these experiments allot to define the following:
- maximum extraction reachable of values.
- acid consumption in period of neutralization of the gangue.
- condition required to accelerate the process
- effect of followed transfers of bacterial inoculus.
The main advantage of this method is its simplicity and speed, even though it cannot be well controlled the conditions of harvest once this has started.
Lixiviation in Stationary Reactor the conditions are used in which the shaken recipients are operated, but in this case the recipient remains static and the pulp is agitated with a magnetic agitator. Ona can perform continuous controls with the most part of the parameters of the system. The recuperation of values, consumption of acid, controls of pH, temperature, etc., are performed in the same manner in which they are effectuated in agitated vases.
As a difference from the test of agitated vase, in this case more amounts of fine mineral can be used, in a manner in which it can simulate an airing to the treatment of the minerals through a lixiviation by agitation at a higher scale
