LG7 Channel Profiles
The profile of the LG7 channel varies in each turn. The channel has a compound profile, an internal section which has a pendent less acute than the external section. The point of intersection of the two angles of the pendent is moved radially outwards from the column of the center, from the superior part to the bottom of the spiral.
The external diameter of the channel is of 24 inches and is constant at the length of all the channel. The spacing (distance between turns) of the inferior section of the channel is of 16 inches, but the spacing of the first turn is less than this. There are no disposition with respect to the use of the water of cleaning in the spiral channel, due to the fact that the spiral works efficiently without water of washing.
The LG7 spirals are produced with one, two or three intertwined channels around the columns of support of the center. Each channel is identical and the spirals with two and three channels are fed in a parallel form, using conventional pulp distributors. The parters of products in the unloading of channels are adapted in tandem for facilitating the control and assuring identical adjustments of products.
The spiral channels are built of hardened fiberglass and all the surfaces are covered with elastometers of poliuretane to protect them from the abrasion. The spirals with only one channel weigh approximately 43,36 Kg., and the spirals with three channels weigh about 102 Kg. The channels are rigid and does not require of another external support to maintain them in fixed vertical positions. For commercial installations, the spirals are loaded in individual or double rows, and are organized in conjunction of two to eight spirals. Each conjunction of spirals is fed of one common distributor of pulp.
