Large scale mining permits and yearly reports that are required
The yearly report requirements for a large scale mine permit are very alike the ones that are needed for a small scale mine permit however the difference in some states and countries is the yearly fee that is charged which varies.
Large Scale Gold Mines Large scale gold mines have different reporting requirements that need to be done every year. These mines are required to surrender yearly reports by a specific date every single year (the 1st of January of every year for example). Around the ending of the year the department takes care of mailing every large scale gold mine an report form every year and then the operator is required to fill this form out and submit it to the department along a yearly fee. The completed annual report will have at least the following information:
- The total amount of affected land in the last year.
- The total amount of surface mining disturbed land (mine pits, waste rock disposal areas, leach pads, and process ponds) in the last year.
- The total amount of land that has been under temporary reclamation in the last year.
- The total amount of land that has been under final reclamation and meets the mandatory post mining land use in the last year.
- The total and amount of land that has been under final reclamation and does not meet the mandatory post mining land use in the last year.
- The total amount of ground water that was taken out during the last year.
- The total amount of surface water that was taken out during the last year.
- The total amount of ore that was mined during the last year.
- The total amount of ore processed during the last year.
- The total amount of waste rock that was mined during the last year.
- The total amount of gold and silver produced during the last year.
- The total amount of cyanide that was used during the last year.
- A short explanation of the operational plans for the next year as well as any revisions that may have need of department or board authorization.
- A map that shows all reclamation that has been done and any alterations to the permitted operating and reclamation plan.
