Insect Repellent
Although a very simple item, insect repellent is essential whenever going on a prospecting trip. This is actually so essential that it should be kept in the prospectors vest. Remember that there are certain areas where insects will literally attack and having to deal with them can be very troublesome. Mosquitoes can be extremely annoying, especially if the prospecting is being done very early in the morning or when the sun is going down. Insect repellent can also ward off insects like ticks, which are not only bothersome but that can also cause terrible diseases and these can be completely avoided by simply using repellent, the right clothing, and boots. Another important item to include is sunscreen lotion. Remember that too much sun can cause skin cancer and is dangerous.

First aid kit
Obviously something that should be included in your vehicle is a good first aid kit. Remember that during prospecting a lot of digging is done and cuts occur very often. Plenty of band aids will come in handy.
