In general, gold pans and the methods that are used for gold panning these days have not changed for thousands of years. We are still using the same method the old time miners and prospectors used in the past. Due to the fact that gold is a little bit over nineteen times as heavy as water, it sinks very quickly and it can be easily recovered by panning it.
