Height of Material Elevation
The suction hose is generally of 6.00 meters in length and lifts auriferous gravel normally up to 0.80 meters in height starting from the level of the river where it is floating. This has been done in areas where the limiting pendant of the sluice can be utilized on sand, and this means that there can be an escape of gold. In the case of the river source, in other words in places where there is speed and where bigger gold nuggets and flakes can be found, its usage in personal mining is something that is available.
Recommendations are:
Go above the elevation of the gravel to 1,20 meters or more above the level of the river with the means of setting up sluices that are longer.

Usages and performance
Its usage is very limited in mining due to the length of the gable and the design of the cutter head; it is generally utilized to process mud and dirt in ports and channels. This has not been experimented with in certain mining fields due to the costs of investment and transportation but has been done in other areas. Its efficiency allows the treatment of areas of 20 to 2,000 m3/hour, with cutter head of 4.50 to 30.000 respectively.
