Gold Washing Gravimetric Plant
This process is carried out by the auriferous material being taken out with a caterpillar tractor and is transported with a carrier towards the thicker chute that has a capacity of 3 m3 and polls with 2 ½ inches between each pole; this takes care of classifying the material of +2 ½ inches and -2 2 ½ inches. The +2 ½ inches is evacuated to the tailings site and the material that is -2 ½ inches is transported by a transporting strip (34’ in length and 18 inches of width) towards a scrubbing drum that is 10 inches in length and 5 inches in diameter, has a screen of ½ inch x 1 ¾ of an inch, where the material of + ½ inch and + ½ is washed and classified. The water for the washing and the rest of the operations of the plant is suctioned from the river with hydrostat pump with a capacity of 350 Gal. per minute. The +1/2 inch material is evacuated to the tailings site with a transporting strip that is 23 inches in length and 18 inches in width, and the ½ inch material is taken with the help of a 5 inch x 5 inch pump and a vibrating sieve that classifies the material of +1/4 inches and ¼ inches. The + ¼ inch material is evacuated to the tailings site with the transporting strip of 23 inches in length and 18 inches in width and the material that is ¼ inches taken in the form of a pulp with the help of a 3 inch x 3 inch pump, then to the primary and secondary, tertiary jigs to then continue with its concentration. The material of the tertiary jig passes over to an amalgamation table where the gold concentrate is obtained. The rest of the material is taken to the primary jig with a 2 ½ inch x 2 inch pump. |
