Gold Prospecting Equipment

In general there are three different things that have made gold prospecting and mining equipment much easier for us to use in this day and age. These things are:

• There are very efficient and easy to use gold pans now.

• We now have portable dredges that are lightweight and that can be easily operated by one or two people.

• We have metal detectors. Metal detectors changed the view on prospecting because it offered people that were not real prospectors, a change to be so. This is mainly due to how easy it is use one. The first metal detectors came about right after World War II and prospectors that were looking for any advantage of improving their lifestyle and striking rich, would buy them. We now have very sensitive computerized metal detectors that can be operated easily and gold can be found even in terrain that is difficult such as in areas with mineralised soil and rocks.
