Gold Karats FAQ
When relating to gold, we use karat grade to tell the relative quantity of gold in an alloy or the volume of a gold alloy. The finest or pure gold is of 24 karats. The proportions in other karat are listed in here.

Jewls is required by law to be stamped so clients can tell the quality of gold utilized in them. North American jewls is normally marked with the karat grade (10K, 14K, etc.), and jewelry made in Europe with the "fineness" such as (417, 583, etc.).
