Gold in its Natural State
Gold in its natural state (free gold, placer gold dust, gold nuggets and so forth) is not now regulated in any way by the USA government. Any private citizen of the USA may own as much free gold as he can pay or wishes to own. He may buy it from whom he wishes and sell it to whom he wishes .The are at the present no restrictions on such actions with free gold. One may not melt or treat in any way, but that would change its form for once gold is dissolve or changed from its normal state, it becomes strictly restricted by the rules and regulation of the treasury department of the USA administration
The dissolve of gold and the buying and selling of melted gold are closely synchronized, and most persons busy in such actions must t be approved by the treasury department. Limits are set on how much dissolve the gold may be held at one time ,and how and to whom it must be willing of is firmly draw. Melted gold cannot be held as a product, but must be consume or used. One cannot store it away in a security place, but can make gold bracelets ,dental hardware, or plate electrical terminal with it.
Because free gold is not restricted by this governmental system it is very much valuable to take extra care in the cleanup mill to make as much free gold as likely. As well the handiness of selling to whomsoever one needs, placed gold can regularly be sold at the world market price. Melted gold on the other hand must regularly have an “excellence” run on it, to check its purity, and the trader is rewarded only for the real weigh of the gold, and not for the weight of impurities within the gold. Gold with an excellence of 1000 is pure gold. If the superiority is 900, the material is 90 gold and 10 impurities. The impurity regularly consists mostly of silver. The forward step in the cleanup mill is the final cleanness of the gold .This step is done by hand. The material to be washed is the first or richer magnetic divider concentrate. It is collected mainly of gold but has in it some nonmagnetic impurities.
This gold concentrate is first classified or screened to different sizes. Screens of 20 mesh ,25 mesh ,30 mesh 35, mesh 40 mesh 50 mesh 60 mesh 70 mesh 80 mesh and 100 mesh are used. Gold particles superior than 20 meshes are difficult to wash and are added to concentrate to be fused .Each of the diverse screened sizes is placed in a division container and washed singly. Four pieces of gear are used in this washing process .A rectangular stainless steel washing pan about a foot square, with sides 2 inches high on the 3 sides of it. A flexible hose with s small plunger capable of spraying a fine jet of water. A large pan or tub.
A small spatula. Not notable list of gear in this apparently technological era, perhaps, but a most useful one. The washing pan is set on a dispose of about 3 inches drop to the foot, with the open end of the pan in the sliding way.
