Classification of Alluvial Beds in a General Form

The much more rational classification of the alluvial deposits, in a general form is divided in the following groups:

Residual Alluvions

• Eluvia (atmospheric agents, such as heat, cold, etc.)

• Colluviums or Diluvia (agents: wind, glaciers a) glaciers b) eolics

• Alluviums of Vega or work 

• Transported Alluvions fluvial alluvial or proluvials

• Terrace alluviums

• - Hills and winnowing places

• - High and low terraces

• - Double, triple and other alluviums

• Lacustrian Alluviums

Littoral or Ocean Alluvions

• Submerged
• Deep ocean
