Discussion of Results

The results of the tests of cyanidation which have been referred to by the percentage of the dissolution of silver and gold respectively, in function of the time of contact.

We can deduce:

When the sample is directly cyanised, the dissolution of gold is incipient. The dissolution of silver mantains a direct proportionality towards the first 24 hours, after the dissolution is inhibited towards times of higher contacts, which makes the system insufficient.

Another graph deduces:

When the fine fraction -325 nets is cyanised, the dissolutions of gold and silver can be considered in reason directly proportional to the higher time of contact.

The results of the simulated balance of the continuous process starting from the test of flotation allows us to predict the results of a flotation in a closed cycle. One makes a postulate that the distribution of products in a stage of separation is determined by the chemical conditions of the system and the ime of flotation; and that this flotation is characterized by a separation factor, which will remain constant for a prepared series of conditions. With this premise, it has been demonstrated that a metallurgical balance of stable state can be calculated for a circuit.

Conclusions
This metallurgical study  demonstrates that the methodology used is adequate, and not complicated, allowing a great flexibility of operation which is schemed in the diagram of experimental proceeding and conduces to the possibility of designing a slow-sheet of conventional technology for industrial processing applied to the old second washing of metals of amalgamation of similar characteristics.

The method of mathematical simulation of a continuous flotation, in base of an experimental batch test, is more conveniently compared with the conventional tests of cycles at a laboratory level because they economize time and the cost of a project.
