Choosing the Right Metal Detector Headphones
Different headphones come with different ohms and the ones that have seven to fifteen are usually fine to use. There are balanced impedance headphones that have seventy ohms and these work quite well too. There are obviously also the ones that have impedance measured in the hundreds and thousands of ohms. These can be used as well. If possible, try to get the ones that have volume control so that you are able to adjust the volume, especially in cases of headphones that are very loud. You should use the volume control on the headphones and set the detector so that it is at full volume. There are certain amplifiers that can be used along with a set of headphones to get more volume in the signal. Certain detectors do not have a loud audio response to signals that are deeper inside the ground and additional accessories can help to make them the right type of volume in the audio. Try going to the same dealer that sold you the detector as he will be able to assist you and provide advice about certain models. Remember also that different people hear differently therefore it is better to use the headphone and detector that works best for you before purchasing it. There are many different prospecting headphones available in the market and the price range from $20 to $200 and more. A good set of headphones can be a good investment because they will help tremendously in prospecting with a detector. Make sure you check it well before purchasing them though and that you go after the ones that suit you best, are comfortable and that you like. |
